Meow Up
Privacy Policy — Effective July 8, 2026
🐱 No accounts · Your game data stays on your deviceMeow Up (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a casual arcade game (bounce a cat as high as possible), developed as a sole-developer project under Torhen. Contact: contactodhts@gmail.com.
1. Who We Are
- Developer: Torhen (independent developer).
- Data Controller: Torhen, acting as data controller under GDPR for the purposes of providing the App.
- Contact: contactodhts@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Handle — and Where It Stays
Meow Up has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of our own. Everything you do in the game is stored only on your device using Android's local storage and never leaves it:
- Game data (local only): scores, best records, best jump, preferences (sound, language), and the “remove ads” status. We have no backend and no database; we cannot see this data.
- Data processed by ads: to show advertising, the Google AdMob SDK processes information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general device and usage information. This is handled by Google (see sections 4 and 6).
- Purchase data: if you buy “Remove ads”, the transaction is processed via RevenueCat over Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your card data.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not ask for your name, email, or any account.
- We do not collect location.
- We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or external storage.
- We do not use our own analytics SDKs (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).
- We do not use crash-reporting tools that send data off your device.
- We do not sell data to third parties or data brokers.
- We do not collect health data or special categories of data.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
To keep the game free, Meow Up shows ads via Google AdMob: full-screen ads between games and optional rewarded ads. There are no banners during gameplay.
To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device information (model, operating system), and ad-interaction data. If you consent to personalized ads, Google may use this information to show you interest-based advertising; if not, ads will be non-personalized (contextual). How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Ads Consent (GDPR / UMP)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with applicable regulations, the App shows a consent form (using Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving ads, so you can choose whether you want personalized or non-personalized ads. You can change your choice later from the App. Outside those regions, the form is not shown.
6. Third-Party Services
The third parties integrated into Meow Up are governed by their own policies:
- Google AdMob — advertising. Processes the advertising identifier, IP, and device/usage data to serve and measure ads. Google Policy.
- RevenueCat — manages the “Remove ads” purchase over Google Play Billing. Processes an anonymous purchase identifier to validate your purchase across devices; it does not receive your card data. RevenueCat Policy.
- Google Play Billing — processes the payment directly with Google. We never receive your card data. Google Play Policy.
7. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for personalized ads, which are served only if you grant it in the consent form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest — to show non-personalized (contextual) ads that sustain the free game, and to prevent ad fraud.
- Performance of a contract — to process the optional “Remove ads” purchase.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, including income tax reporting.
8. International Data Transfers
The third-party infrastructure we rely on (Google AdMob, RevenueCat, Google Play) is operated by providers based in the United States. As a result, data processed for ads and purchases may be transferred and processed in the United States or other countries where these providers operate data centers, including locations outside your country of residence.
These providers are subject to international data-transfer frameworks (EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses) that ensure an adequate level of protection. We do not transfer your data on our own outside these providers.
9. Data Retention
- Game data on your device: kept until you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
- Advertising data: retained by Google under its own policies; we do not store it.
- Purchase record: Google and RevenueCat keep proof of the purchase; we may keep minimal records for accounting and tax reasons under applicable law.
- Support emails: kept up to 3 years after the last contact, for follow-up and dispute resolution.
10. Advertising Identifier
Ads use the Android Advertising ID. You can reset that identifier or turn off ad personalization at any time from your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
11. Age Requirement and Children's Privacy
Meow Up is a game for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). The ads served are not targeted at children. If you believe a minor provided us with personal data, contact contactodhts@gmail.com and we will address it promptly (COPPA compliance).
12. System Permissions
The App requests the minimum permissions:
- Internet: required to load ads and validate the purchase. The game itself works offline.
- Advertising identifier: used by AdMob for ads.
We do not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, or external storage.
13. In-App Purchases
The only purchase is “Remove ads” (one-time, non-consumable), processed exclusively via RevenueCat over Google Play Billing. We will never ask for payment details inside the App. If anyone does so outside Google Play, it is fraud.
14. Data Deletion
- Game data: clear the App's data in Android settings, or uninstall it; that removes everything living on the device.
- Advertising data: reset your Advertising ID as described in section 10.
- Requests: write to contactodhts@gmail.com and we will handle your request within 30 days, subject to legal retention exceptions.
15. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. You can exercise them by writing to contactodhts@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days (or the period required by the law applicable to your case).
