Privacy Policy — Effective July 2, 2026

CronoClean (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile app of timers for organizing home cleaning, developed as a sole-developer project under Torhen. Contact: contactodhts@gmail.com.

1. Who We Are

  • Developer: Torhen (independent developer).
  • Data Controller: Torhen, acting as data controller under GDPR for the purposes of providing the App.

2. What Data We Handle — and Where It Stays

CronoClean has no accounts, no sign-in, no servers of our own, and no cloud sync. Everything you do in the App is stored only on your device using Android's local storage (Hive over the app's private files) and never leaves it:

  • Usage data (local only): custom rooms you create, task lists, completed-timer history, day streak, unlocked badges, chosen theme, language, sound and vibration preferences. We have no backend and no database; we cannot see this data.
  • Purchase data: if you buy the Premium unlock, Google Play processes the transaction. We never receive or store your card data.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not ask for your name, email, or any account.
  • We do not collect location.
  • We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or external storage.
  • We do not use our own analytics SDKs (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).
  • We do not use advertising SDKs — the App shows no ads.
  • We do not use crash-reporting tools that send data off your device.
  • We do not sell data to third parties or data brokers.
  • We do not collect health data or special categories of data.

4. Local Notifications

The App may show local notifications on your device when a timer ends and, optionally, as a gentle reminder if you enable Smart Reminders. Notifications are generated entirely on the device; nothing is sent to our servers (we have no servers). On Android 13 or higher, the system will ask permission to show notifications; if you deny it, the App keeps working normally.

5. Permissions We Request

  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — to show alerts when a timer ends and smart reminders.
  • VIBRATE — to vibrate when a timer ends.
  • com.android.vending.BILLING — to process the optional one-time Premium purchase via Google Play.

6. Third-Party Services

The only third party integrated into CronoClean is Google Play Billing, and it is only invoked if you choose to buy the Premium unlock:

  • Google Play Billing — only when buying the Premium unlock. Processes the payment directly with Google. We never receive your card data. Google Play Policy.

7. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to process the optional Premium purchase.
  • Legitimate interest — for the App to work correctly on your device (saving your timers and local history).
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, including income tax reporting.

8. International Data Transfers

Since the App is 100% offline, we do not transfer personal data off your device on our own. If you buy Premium, the Google Play infrastructure that processes the payment is operated by providers based in the United States. Purchase data (not personal data of ours) may be processed in the United States or other countries where Google operates data centers.

Google Play is subject to international data-transfer frameworks (EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses) that ensure an adequate level of protection.

9. Data Retention

  • Data on your device: kept until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Uninstalling removes everything.
  • Purchase data: retained by Google under its own policies; we do not store it.

10. Your Rights (GDPR / LGPD / local laws)

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, most of your rights are fulfilled directly from your device:

  • Access and portability: your data is on your device; you can see it directly in the App.
  • Deletion: uninstall the App or clear its data from Android Settings — everything disappears.
  • Rectification: edit your rooms, tasks, and history directly in the App.
  • Complaints: write to contactodhts@gmail.com or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App's features change. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the most recent version. Substantial changes will be announced within the App.
